A destination wedding is a wedding that is held somewhere that is neither the bride's home nor the groom's. Sometimes they'll pick a city or state that they've always wanted to go to and have the wedding there. Also, if they're having their honeymoon somewhere nice, they may want to have the wedding there as well.
A major disadvantage is the complex and more than average difficult wedding planning process. It's also hard to enjoy the wedding planning process when it's a destination wedding and it's hard to make a career out of it. Another minus is the fact that not all your guest can come because the traveling and airfare are expensive,The purpose of the destination can be of a more intimate value.basically you can have a long weekend for which a few close friends will join you in an exotic location. They will have to take time off from their busy schedules and careers and come join your destination wedding.

Some couples want to have their honeymoon in Mexico so that in itself is good enough of a reason to have a destination wedding there. Guests can participate in a variety of activities, scuba diving, fishing, just going to the beach and tanning and see the tourist sites. the beach atmosphere is exotic and fun and a great location for your destination wedding. The only annoying thing about out of town destination weddings is the fact that not all your guests will be able to attend due to traveling expenses or career choices. The biggest advantage is the fact that the couple can stay in the city for their honeymoon after the wedding's over and with the correct planning, they can have a perfect honeymoon in the city of their choice.
